WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW AS YOU PREPARE FOR DAY CAMP

June 13-17 at UAB for boys ages 5-12

July 11-15 at LJCC for boys ages 5-12

LOCATION UAB  -The June 13 week of camp is held on the West Campus Soccer Fields on the UAB Campus, Just behind the Waffle house on 11th Street South and 9th Ave South.

LOCATION LJCC  -The Levite Jewish Community Center is located at 3960 Montclair Road,  adjacent to the Montclair Baptist Medical Center. 

WHAT TO BRING EACH DAY Campers are to report to camp on Monday morning ready to play soccer (shorts, t-shirt and soccer ball). Shin guards are recommended and soccer shoes are optional. Each camper must bring a bag with a pair of flat athletic shoes in case of rain and indoors play. Campers wishing to swim should bring a bathing suit and towel. Campers may also wish to bring a change of clothes.  And we recommend a plastic grocery bag for their wet swim wear after they change.  And don’t forget to bring your lunch (see below).  Please mark all belongings.

LUNCHES Each camper is to bring a lunch (a lunch box is recommended). Please mark the lunch with the camper’s name. Refrigeration will not be provided. The camp will provide cold drinks and campers may drink as much as they desire.

REGISTRATION/CHECK IN

Check in the first day of camp is Monday, 8:00 AM – 9:00 am on the soccer field

Purpose: Pay any remaining balance of camp fee • Receive free camp t-shirt • Receive Nike ball if purchased

ARRIVAL/PICKUP

Arrival: Monday 8:00 – 9:00 AM

Tuesday – Friday 8:30 – 9:00 AM

Pickup: Monday – Friday 4:00 – 4:30 PM

LATE PICKUP We will supervise campers for late pickup from 4:30 – 5:30 PM for a charge of $25.00 per week. We have only a limited number of spaces available so please contact us immediately if you are interested.

RAIN Report to camp as usual. If conditions make outdoor activity impossible, then indoor facilities will be utilized.

MEDICAL CARE Any camper who takes prescription drugs or medicine must inform the trainer at registration.

INSURANCE The UAB Soccer Camp will carry only a supplemental accident and health policy.  Primary health insurance is the responsibity of the parents.

VISITORS Relatives and friends are welcome to visit and observe the camp activities.

ENDING CEREMONY Friday 4:00 – 4:30. A short ceremony will end the week of camp. Each camper will receive a detailed written evaluation and a camp certificate. Parents and friends are invited to attend.
